Just A Moleskine

Two Notebooks

No matter what piece of technology comes along, nothing can beat a Moleskine for me. The two featured on the right have been my daily notebooks for the first term of Computer Science and I will roll over into a third one this upcoming term, judging on the level of notes I take. Take a look at the Flickr set to see what my notes look like and how I manage all the maths, doodlings and general lecture notes if you are interested. Since the iPhone landed, I have been using the calendar function for everything. I have come to the conclusion that it is superb for reminders (like 9:00am lectures) but I still find myself dropping back to a paper diary for to-dos, note scribbling and general non-recurring events. Writing things down seems to imprint them on my mind and provides a odd sort of satisfaction. Diary 2008 The time came to order this year's diary and I went for the red (but not (RED)) large version of the Moleskine 2008 diary, which is notes on right side and diary on left. Last year I had the pocket version of this that worked out very well but I'd rather loose the pocket-ability to have more room to write stuff. My life has become busier and more stuff seems to happen while at university, hence the need for extra space. Moleskines are available for your local stationary shop or the excellent Mojo London. Be it a note book or diary, you can't go far wrong. They aren't cheap (with a notebook at ~£12.00 and diary at ~£15.00 depending on where you go) but the amount of satisfaction I get from something I use everyday makes it worth while.
